We are excited to carry jewellery collections by artist and designer Mirit Weinstock in our store in Zurich! Mirit is a conceptual designer from Israel who developed her fashion and design sense in Italy, France and England while collaborating with famous designers like Alexander McQueen and Albert Elbaz while alternating her desire to experiment between clothing and accessories.
Drawing her inspiration from childhood memories, classic fashion periods and the natural world, Mirit Weinstock presents an original, dreamy poetic jewellery collection with a touch of humour.
Her modern approach to jewellery and bold combinations of materials led her to win international recognition and to exhibit her work at top boutiques around the world such as Isetan Tokyo, Hankyu Osaka, Opening Ceremony, Fenwick London and now with us exclusively in Zürich, Switzerland.
The latest collection from Mirit Weinstock draws inspiration from the most desirable shape: the heart.
Mirit gives the heart shape a fresh look by creating hearts from folded paper and tinsel garland. These handmade forms are dipped in silver, transforming the commonplace into something precious, while retaining the texture and lightness of the original materials.
Handcrafted richly textured shapes are combined with colourful agate beads, drop-shaped and round pearls. Pearls are strung into hoops or wrapped with a metal ring, showing the geometric detail of a traditional pave setting.
